Thelypteris simulata

A new fern for me in Gov. Dodge State Park was Thelypteris simulata. There are over twenty species of Thelypteris in North America, but I've only ever seen T. palustris, the marsh fern, and T. novaboracensis, the New York fern. T. simulata is commonly known as Massachusetts fern. For a complete key to the Thelypteris species in North America, see the Flora of North America website.
